Serving a menu of moneysaving services since 1995
Instead of burying St. Joseph statues upside down to help sell homes, why not reinvent this misguided spiritual practice to create something more meaningful and appropriate for the Patron Saint of Social Justice? That's what this interactive art project tried to do last year at the Social Justice conference in Boston. The tool chest contained 40 empty S.O.S. bottles, one for every million people currently infected with HIV-AIDS, and participants were invited to put a St. Joseph medal into each with their own S.O.S.
This year, we've upgraded from an interactive art project to an online interactive map, and invite you to share your ideas and initiatives online at St. Joe 2.0: Geography of Faith.
For any church groups interested, we'd also be glad to do more art projects in church basements across New England or online to introduce you to ASAP: AIDS Shelter Alliance Partners.
